'Creature'
Originally a stand alone drawing, I chose to continue the concept for my main second year CG project
Aside from the original Puppetsquid video, this is my first majour venture into organic modelling
I began by building the 'base' model in Maya, unwrapped it using Unfold 3d, and textured it with photoshop
I then took the textured model into ZBrush to add further detail and cover any seams
I then took this file into photoshop again to create several different maps
Back in Maya, I rigged, animated and lit the creature, and used the maps to create a makeshift SSS renderer
The rig includes a tounge, self-animated lungs, a heart and stomach
-as with a lot of my other work, many images are on my computer at university-
